The blue wave did not materialise and American politics remains as divided as it has ever been. After the recent Midterm elections, neither the Democrats or Republicans emerged victorious. The Trump presidency continues to sew instability in the US and throughout the entire world economy, not least of all in Central and South America. The case of the ongoing Migrant Caravan is an expression of this phenomenon.
How can we make any sense of what has taken place? What are the prospects for the fight for socialism? Is their scope for a workers alternative in the coming period for US politics?
