 Prince Andrew
With a world recession looming, slides in the stock market and capitalism generally entering a period of crisis you would expect the first day of the World Economics Forum to be the site of a serious discussion and plans for the future; not so.

One delegate cited the maxim, ‘If the US economy sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold’ and in response an economics professor stated that ‘The US is going to have a protracted case of pneumonia.’ The US delegate said the world may only get the ‘sniffles.’ It appears that in its time of crisis capital turns to see a bunch of morons at the helm who can’t get beyond simple analogies.

On top of this the forum was host to Prince Andrew, who found it all very amusing, and was pictured laughing (well what does he care if good working people are facing problems?). Great form for the British trade envoy.

But the icing on the cake; who else in a moment of crisis is invited to debate all our fates? None other than Emma Thompson (actor) and the economic mastermind Bono from U2.

It’s time we got these fools out, then at least some serious discussion can be brought to the fore!
