This year marks the centenary of Ted Grant, founder of the Militant Tendency and Socialist Appeal, who was born in 1913. To celebrate this centenary, we are pleased to announce the publication of a new biography of Ted Grant, written by his friend and collaborator for more than 50 years, Alan Woods. In Defence of Marxism magazine - issue no.4 now out!

We are pleased to announce the publication of In Defence of Marxism Issue No.4. This issue deals almost exclusively with the 130th anniversary of the death of Marx and contains an important long article written by Alan Woods on this subject. We are confident that this issue will be well received and will be a valuable addition to our theoretical output. The In Defence of Marxism magazine has so far been a great succes and we appeal to all our supporters and readers, if they do not already get a regular copy, to take out a subscription. This will strengthen the basis of the magazine and enable us to expand our coverage.
