With local elections approaching, things are not looking promising for Rishi Sunak and the Tories. Years of crises and scandals have left the party scarred and fractured. And no amount of manufactured distractions will provide any respite.

Following a wave of industrial struggles over the past couple of years, the trade union movement is at an ebb. Instead of mobilising workers, union leaders are waiting for Labour. Once again, this demonstrates the need for fighting leadership.
