The history of the 20th Century is the history of revolution and counter-revolution on a global scale.

After the victory of the October revolution in 1917, the Bolsheviks understood that only the success of the international revolution could guarantee the continued existence of a workers government in Russia.

In March 1919 the Communist International was formed as a means of breaking the isolation of the socialist revolution. However, along with the Stalinist degeneration within the Soviet Union came the transformation of the Communist International from a weapon of the international proletariat into a mouth-piece for the needs of the Soviet bureaucracy.

With a clear Marxist leadership the course of history could have been radically different. Come to the Marxist Day School where we will discuss the lessons of the past, so as to be better prepared for future events.
