1 END THE UNION BLACKLIST

  1. NO BLACKLISTING OF UNION MEMBERS

3 RE-INSTATE ILLEGALLY SACKED CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

The engineering and electrical construction firms use a blacklist to dismiss workers from site. A raid on the offices of a shady organisation called the Consulting Association in 2009 uncovered this secret blacklist used by McAlpine, Carillion, Skanska, Balfour and all the major contractors. This blacklist is still in operation our steward brothers who have represented us in the past are still unemployed. Blacklist all those who speak out and then the agreements will fall. Lets stand up for those who stood up for us!

TODAY, there are 400 workers sacked at BP Salt End in Hull. But there are union stewards sacked and blacklisted from Fiddlers Ferry Power Station in Warrington and the Olympics in London. The Olympics is the most high-profile construction project in the world. Any action at the Olympics will be headline news. Lets show the construction firms that we got some self-respect.

400 construction workers have been sacked without notice since 14 March at BP Saltend near Hull by their company Redhalls after their contract was terminated by Vivergo. They are now fighting to get their jobs back.

Jubilee Line, Pfizers, Lindsey, Salt End - construction workers have always had to fight to get any kind of decent safety conditions or a living wage. The employers ignore national Blue Book agreements and regularly sack anyone who stands up for their rights. Our union stewards are often Blacklisted from other projects.

IT’S ALL THE SAME FIGHT - BLOCKADE THE OLYMPICS
